Bursting with vibrant aromas of passionfruit, guava, and tropical fruit, along with a hint of blackcurrant bud, this wine embodies the essence of classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The palate showcases rich flavours of passionfruit, blackcurrant, and guava, complemented by a captivating saline minerality and a well-balanced, approachable acidity.
Bull Paddock Vineyard, originally a place for raising bulls, now yields exceptional Sauvignon Blanc grapes with heightened aromatics and ripe flavours. This sub-region is the prime source of Marlborough’s finest Sauvignon Blanc.
The 2023 vintage brought average yields due to unsettled weather during flowering and a cooler climate. However, the resulting grapes were fully ripe with concentrated flavours and a classic acidity. The Bull Paddock Vineyard’s proximity to our winery ensures minimal skin contact before pressing, preserving the wine’s vibrant fruit flavours and aromas. After a gentle pressing, the grapes were batch fermented in stainless steel using selected yeast strains to enhance the wine’s aromatic qualities.
