Premium Pinots from across the world!
Folium Pinot Noir 2018 Silky, spicy, and smart, with a beautifully concentrated core of bright red fruit with the added complexity of savoury, earthy notes, and a truly fine textural element. The structure has been helped along thanks to spending 16 to 18 months in French oak barriques. This is exceptionally good in the superb 2019 Marlborough vintage.
The Pinot Noir is hand harvested and everything is destemmed. Then it is fermented in open top fermenters with indigenous yeast, and it is pumped over for 2-3 minutes a day with no plunging, which is just enough to get gentle extraction. There’s no cold soak but the grapes are picked in the early morning, so fermentation takes a while to get going. The pinot is pressed to French oak, between 20-33% new depending on the vintage.

Johner Estate Pinot Noir 2020 Rich in colour. Developed and savoury on the nose with gamey aromas, French herbs, and porcini. The palate is soft and long with a splash of tingling, mouth-watering fruit acidity on the finish. This Pinot noir will increase in complexity as it matures over the next five years. “The Johner wines have been made with elegance and food-matching in mind, rather than as ‘one glass’ wine show winners.” – Raymond Chan
