The Hofbräu Münchner Weisse is light amber with a creamy foam crown and a harmoniously fruity bouquet. Fine notes of yeast and a fruity aroma form a tasty interplay. The carbonic acid tingles pleasantly on the palate, and a gentle sweetness develops towards the end.
Back in 1602 Weissbier could only be brewed by ducal privilege. It was Munich’s first Hefe Weizen. Hofbräuhaus enjoyed this exclusive right for nearly 200 years, thus holding a monopoly on Weissbier in Bavaria. But, even without a monopoly, Hofbrau is still the favourite for many people!
