The penultimate Pinot Gris pack!
Pinot Gris has been around for a while, possibly even since the Middle Ages. It is thought to be a mutant clone of Pinot Noir, with ‘Gris’ referencing the greyish-blue fruit this grape possesses. Pinot Gris was only really found early in production in Alsace, Northern Italy and Germany, but it’s grown worldwide and continues to grow in popularity.
Sip your way through a delicious ‘Gris mix with our tasty pack offer.
The Hunting Lodge Expressions Pinot Gris 2021 Slightly off-dry, full bodied and delicious – the 2021 Hunting Lodge Plush Pinot Gris is a wine not to be missed. Pinot Gris has come under fire in recent years for not having enough flavour, being insipid or too ‘flat’ in comparison to other white varietals on the shelves. Trust us when we say this 2021 from The Hunting Lodge is anything but. Pinot Gris picked from the Wairau Valley in Marlborough was fermented in steel before spending time on its lees to intensify the varietal flavour and texture.
Te Muna Valley THE FALCON Pinot Gris 2020 offers an aromatic experience with notes of citrus and honeysuckle, complemented by hints of white flowers and spice. This crisp, dry wine is made with grapes harvested in Marlborough, New Zealand, backed by decades of viticultural experience. Its unique character and structure yield a perfect balance of acidity and minerality, making it an ideal companion for light meals.
Stratum Pinot Gris 2023 is a complex wine that boasts a nose of citrus and stone fruit, which develops into a bouquet of tropical fruit and white flowers on the palate. Its low acidity and open texture make it ideal for a variety of pairings and occasions. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet evening at home or hosting a dinner party, this wine is sure to impress.
