Petite Sirah was the very first grape planted by Bogle founder Warren Bogle in 1968 so is described as the family’s ‘heritage’ varietal and it’s safe to say they sure know their way around this grape!
Barrel aged for 12 months, it’s big, bold and powerful with juicy blueberry and red berry flavours and a tannic touch to finish.
From the winemaker – “Dark purple stains the glass, while inky and succulent blueberries and blackberries overwhelm the palate. Juicy plums and rhubarb come together, followed by touches of roasted, savory and earthy tones that round out the mouthfeel. Supple and spicy, this full bodied wine was aged in American oak for 12 months. Toasty vanilla, mocha and a bit of cocoa combine with ample tannins to create a finish with structure and character.”
