You don’t often see Syrah fermented in stainless steel, but that’s exactly what San Sebastião has done with this wine! Skipping the oak means this wine’s ripe fruit character isn’t masked by anything and is on full display.
Their 2018 red blend is made from a mix of Syrah and Tinta Roriz which has resulted in a rich, dark wine brimming with fruit. There’s notes of dried black fruit and ripe cherry, with mushroom and forest floor undertones. Drink it now, or over the next few years.
