If you’re looking to try something a bit different, then look no further than this sparkling Albarino from HiHi out of Gisborne. Albarino is native to Galicia, on the northern coast of Spain and is usually made in crisp, dry and more importantly still style. However, in Portugal, where Albarino is known as Alvarinho, it’s made into a lightly sparkling wine which is the direction HiHi has also gone in. Its crisp and clean with notes of lemon, grapefruit, ripe pineapple and peach. Chill it down, pick up some fresh mussels and enjoy!
