Buttery, floral and bursting with fruit! We ‘ve managed to get our hands on a delicious Chardonnay, which is grown on clay and then quickly bottled to retain its freshness and acidity.
Coming from the Southern Languedoc and more specifically the vineyards of Chevalier Alexis Lichine, this is great to pull out before dinner as an aperitif or during a long, relaxed lunch with friends. It ‘s lemony, aromatic, and with a bold and buttery finish, but with enough minerality to leave you salivating for more.
Languedoc, France
Alexis Lichine was one of the world’s greatest ambassadors of French wine. A
writer and excellent salesman, he wrote several books that became reference tools, including the “Encyclopaedia of Wines and Spirits” and the “Alexis Lichine’s Guide to Wines and Vineyards of France” which established the pedigree of varietal wines. His success has earned him the nickname “the Pope of Wine” in America and in 1987 he was voted “Man of the Year” by wine magazine Decanter.
The Alexis Lichine range has continued to grown, and is now renown as a tasty blend of the traditional and the contemporary, respecting the spirit of Bordeaux wines and the extraordinary pioneering spirit of Alexis Lichine.
